Mission




Mission Statement and Purposes
 
The Lake Carmi Camper’s Association, Inc. is dedicated to conserving our unique natural resources, improving and enhancing the quality of life and the environment, for all Lake Carmi residents and visitors. In cooperation with local and state authorities, the association shall provide educational, cultural and recreational activities, as well as, water quality management and safety education initiatives. Further, the association will provide a medium through which information and educational programs and materials may be distributed throughout the community.
 
 
L.C.C.A. Inc. was founded in 1961 with the purposes, as follows:
  1. To provide for monitoring and improving Lake Carmi water quality by being a lake association that works with the State, the Town, and our watershed neighbors to maintain the lake’s water quality.
  2. To provide safety education for the campers around the lake; e.g., fire safety; swimming safety; boating safety; hunting safety; and pollution control. To create and maintain standards for the general health and safety for all.
  3. To provide social and cultural outlets, for the benefit of members, planning outings and general get-togethers, whereby the membership may become better acquainted.
  4. To provide the medium through which information may be distributed throughout the membership and the community; thereby achieving better relations between the two.
